Hi all,
I'm trying to identify and figure out what to do with theses white spots that are starting to appear in my plaster and one in the pool tile. Is it calcium? Do I need to freak out?

Thanks!

Calcium Nodules in pools What are calcium nodules? In swimming pools and spas, they are small mounds, bumps, deposits, or “slag” piles of calcium carbonate which are formed from material that has been released from the plaster. The small calcium nodules are rough to the touch, hard, and generally gritty. Nodules may form singularly (far apart or sporadically), or many and close together along a crack in the plaster surface

Thanks for all this info. I read that article. Can you recommend an epoxy filler? This is replaster job about a year old now.

My plan of attack is 100 grit wet/dry sandpaper and epoxy to cover the small cracks.

Now, would anything happen if I dont do anything???

Thanks.

Nothing will happen if you do nothing.

You can take a scraper and knock off the bump and leave it as is.
