Which capacitor?

Replace both of them.

You can get a multimeter that tests capacitance if you want, but it's cheaper to just buy the new capacitors.

A bad run capacitor will usually bulge at the top when it is bad.

A start capacitor will usually leak brown fluid when it's bad.

How old is the pump?

Do you have pictures of everything?

Thanks for the reply! I can only find one capacitor. It looks fine, though. I'm getting a new one tomorrow and I will try to swap it out and see what happens. The pump is in the beginning of its 4th pool season. Pool season here lasts about 3-4 months.
