Perhaps, but from that angle of the pic it seems a bit tight and close to the MPV. Why all the coupler fittings on that downward pipe? Ever thought of redoing that portion that give you more room?

It's how we got it when we bought the house, but yes, I really want to clean it all up but it does work and when the filter finally goes, I would probably dig into it.
I believe the unit will fit physically, when you say close you mean too close to the output of the MPV in terms of distance the water travels or just physically fitting without pumping into things?

Yes, but the 2nd pic show s a bit more room on that horizontal run, so it should be okay.
