I just ordered a Circupool UL40 to replace the Amazon non name brand special swg that pool builder installed. My current swg is a plug in type, not bonded and does not run on a timer. It has an internal flow senser that shuts it off if no water is filling the unit. My pump is hardwired directly to the breaker panel. I keep seeing everyone talking about wiring the swg to the same timer as the pump, but my panel doesn't have a timer since the vsp has a digital timer. What does everyone do in this instance? I thought thats what the flow sensor was for am i stuck with a swg that i cant use?

The flow sensor on a SWCG is a backup safety to turn off the SWCG with no flow. The primary feature is to have the pump and SWCG powered on or off together.
