So it is the same drive end?
After how he acted when I mentioned the SWG install, I’m losing faith that the work and equipment is correct. I hate that feeling.

It looks like they replaced the power end.

The "BH" at the end means Blue Haven, which you can see on the blue sticker.

Hayward makes the pump for Blue Haven, but it is the same pump.

The other parts of the model number that are different like the XLand 1 don’t mean anything?

It looks like the Power End was replaced.

The replacement looks like the correct one.
Thank you! That makes me feel better.

When he says all the bubbles in the strainer pot and the crackling sound are normal, is that right since the pump has only been on 30 minutes or so?

Can you post a video showing the pump running at these speeds:

3,450, 3,000, 2,400, 1,725, 1,000 RPM.

Can you check the wattage and return pressure at these speeds?

3,450, 3,000, 2,400, 1,725, 1,000 RPM.

I never know if I’m supposed to make a new post for different issues or keep it in the same. Y’all it’s been a long day already.

I haven’t been shown how to work the pump yet. He’s still here trying to get the OnCommand to work with the bubblers and slide like they did before.
If you can tell me how to check wattage and pump pressure, I will do that as soon as I won’t be in his way.
Thank you!

Thank you. I pride myself on being the nicest customer anyone has ever had.
I even carried all 1600 pounds of salt and sand from his truck down to the pad and pool 😂

Now I’m afraid to ask about the bubbles in the strainer pot and the different pump he brought today vs what he had told me originally.

I’d love to be more assertive, but my husband is at work 😂
With the pump running, open the air relief at the filter and let all the air out. Come back a little later and see if air is back. Its not unusual for a Hayward Tri-Star pump to not completely fill the pot with water. Some days they will, on higher speeds of course, and some days they won't. Don't know why, but after installing many I found it to be so and just got used to it. My 13+ year old one still acts that way from time to time.

You could try tightening the union at the front of the pump a "tiny" bit. Too much and it will split. Be sure the lid O ring is lightly lubricated. After a while, most pumps/systems will develop small suction leaks and, try as you might, you won't eliminate all of them. You learn to live with it and the air is released from the filter through the air-relief screen in most filters (some sand filters don't have them).

Not unusual to lose control at the pump when it is connected to Hayward automation (except in Service Mode), as other have pointed out.

You check the pressure on the filter gauge at those rpms.

Keep it all in one post for now. Easier for us to keep track of it all.

If it needs to be separated out, one of our highly qualified moderators will do it.

I am looking for an air relief at the filter and I can’t seem to find it.
I swear I’m not a dummy. Ugh.

Sorry, I should have been clearer. That number includes the 500 pounds of sand 😂
I hope that’s closer to a better number. 15 bags of salt and 40 pounds a bag?
I only took the amount of bags that he told me to and then put them in the pool.
