Hi. I shocked my pool 5 days ago. The FC is at 5ppm, TA is 0 and PH is 6.2. What should I allow the FC to get to before I add my alkalinity increaser? Thanks
Welcome to the forum!
Now! A TA of 0 means your pH is in the 4's. Very damaging to pool equipment.
Add 50 ppm TA worth of baking soda, mix for an hour, test TA and pH, repeat, until you get a TA of 50 ppm or above. Then adjust pH to the 7's with borax.
How are you testing your pool water chemistry?
