When can I get an accurate CYA measurement?

Welcome to the weekend...I am SLAMming my pool, and added 2.5 lbs of stabilizer (based on numbers from PoolMath) two hours ago. My question is, how long should I wait to get an accurate CYA measurement? I started at < 20 ppm, and it my recent reading has not changed.

It depends on how it was added. If you used the sock method it will show up sooner in tests than if you just dumped it in a skimmer. What we usually recommend is to proceed with the assumed CYA level based on the calculations from PoolMath. It may take a day or even up to three days for the full level to show up in tests, but just presume it is there.

I used the sock method recommended here, so I'll proceed under the assumption that the PoolMath numbers got me to where I need to be.
