Liquid Chlorine
Hello! First time poster here. I’ve been trolling the forums for many years and “took the plunge” and joined🤣. We have just finished setting up a new 26’x52” intex. It’s been a very slow process (love how the box says 1hr set up). Currently, there is about 1-1/2 feet of water, I’m guessing around 4,000gal (pool to full is around 14,400). The bottom is starting to get a bit slippery/slimy. Since we are on a well, we are having water delivered in 2 days. Is there anything I can do to get rid of slime(which I know is algae) before remainder of water gets here? Since water isn’t up to inlets/outlet yet?

Welcome to TFP! Add a couple cups of liquid chlorine and brush it around. Hopefully that won't aggravate any iron in that initial bit of well water. With no stabilizer (yet), the chlorine will burn off quickly from the sun, so also do this at night so there is no chance the sun will burn it off. If you develop algae now, it will continue to grow once you get the new water.

Perfect! Thanks so much, I will do that. Thanks for the link, I’ll check it out.
