Want to replace a broken pump with a variable speed pump for our 24000 gallon pool. The old pump may be wrong HP; so how do calculate the correct HP motor needed?
Welcome to the forum!
There is no wrong size VS pump. It is variable speed, so you set the speed to do what you need. The best is to get a 3hp VS pump, like the Intelliflo VS, and then reduce the rpm to that what is needed to either create your chlorine (SWCG), skim the surface, run a suction side cleaner, etc.
