What should I use under my above-ground pool? I live in Georgia, and we have red dirt.

Welcome to TFP! Ideally, placing something like Gorilla Pads or home insulation panels on the ground is a great way to achieve both swimmer's (foot) comfort and protection to the liner. Some people simply use sand. It's okay, but you run the risk of debris making its way up and through the sand or perhaps "wash-out" from heavy rains or flooding if water slips under there.

One example.
