We have our pool up and running. I was using the clorox pool app for the chemicals. Well I don't think it was good. I took a sample of water to Ace Hardware today and had it tested. I don't think that I'm to far off from where I need to be.
Free chlorine 3.4 ppm
Total chlorine 3.8 ppm
Combined chlorine 0.4 ppm
pH 7.8
Hardness 81 ppm
Alkalinity (w/stabilizer
correction) ?? 62 ppm
Cyanuric acid ?? 49 ppm
Ok the other app had me to add 2lbs. Chlorine stabilizer I've only put in 1 lb
pH up 1.5 lbs all has been added
Calcium hardness increase 2 lbs all has been added
Active 99 shock .5lb added
Where do I go from here????:confused::confused:
Thank you in advance

Welcome to the forum!

Sadly, strips are worthless. And pool store testing is not much better.

We recommend you get a proper test kit. A TF100 from TFTestkits.net or a Taylor K2006C.

Some reading while you wait on your kit Trouble Free Pool School

I suggest adding a quart of 10% liquid chlorine each day.

Take care.

We can’t say for sure, since we don’t actually have good test results.
