Seems like ever since adding salt to our pool for SWG startup this year (we didn’t add salt last year since our pool wasn’t completed until only 2 weeks left in the season) our pool robot and vacuum suck up a ton of this white stuff. It has a sand like texture. Is this type of salt residue expected or is this something else entirely? Salt we added was the diamond crystal solar naturals (blue bag) as recommended by several others on the forum.

I doubt it is salt (but what do I know). I can tell you I have a new SWG system for the first time this season and I do not get anything like that in my robot cleaner. I'll let others chime in on what it could be,
Put some of that in a glass and pour some muriatic acid over it. If it bubbles, it's calcium.
Thanks. I confirmed that it is calcium by performing the bubble test. Is this anything to be concerned about? I did the CH test and our level is 325 which seems to be in the normal range.
