Is it mid way along the pool length? Is there one exactly opposite it? ... voleyball net pole holders

Looks like 2 bits to me.. or did they glue it to the deck.. in which case its a mean trick.
It is about a foot from the pool edge. the metal part screws into the hole. there is PVC in the hole and its about 1 ft deep with a little water at the bottom. I was thinking umbrella holder until I saw the PVC in there.
Vollyball net is a good guess but here isnt one opposite the other side the pool. dunno.

Umbrella or basketball sleeve. They are PVC usually. Keep it clean the water will go stagnant if not.
