You can add a remote and freeze protection if needed.
I installed one last week for a client who thinks it is the "best thing ever...." I have been trying to get him to automate, and this let him save a few bucks while getting many of the features he wanted, and all of the features he needed.
EDIT: you also will not need the switch, as the timer will handle the high/low switching.
