There is definitely no obvious sign of the box being dropped, but of course that doesn’t mean it wasn’t damaged.

Color me embarrassed if it was shipping damage. I was sure it wasn’t a shipping issue, with the tool marks and clean-looking box.

The new spring seal that came in this box also looks damaged. Can anyone confirm before I add that to the list of things I need to get replaced?

Yes, that grey plastic is what I was talking about, and yes, your new seal is cracked.
