We did some housekeeping. Will review returning these as Sticky Notes, or putting them in some other location.

Thank you for your patience.

We are reducing their number and culling some with out of date information. The stuff in the stickies is often information more suited to Pool School. I personally hope stickies are most often used for timely information that has a shelf life. Things like how to prepare for a hurricane or a freeze in the south.

But that doesn't mean there aren't reasons to have permanent stickies, so if you feel a particular one should remain, be rewritten or moved to a PS article, you are encouraged to say so.

Paging @Leebo so he sees this.

I found it quite quickly with a search as i know the key words although most new people won’t know to do so. I hope it becomes an article in pool school or at least a linked guide in the hot tub maintenance article as its a detailed reference that is referred to often.

Last week I went and yanked about 75% of all stickies in all forums. There really wasn’t any pattern I followed in which ones stayed and which ones were removed. That said, since I did this these two Spa articles have been asked about 3 times, so clearly there’s some interest. my plan is to somewhat do two things,
  1. Temporally restore these two stickies
  2. Revamp some Pool School and Wiki articles to make sure all the info in the stickies are included in other articles
One of the main reasons we’re pulling many of these very old threads (some are around 15 years old) is because we’ve found wrong/conflicting info in the past. Many of us who share these links do so without ever actually reading them, I know I have. This causes us to at times share content that’s got dated info, which can be very confusing. Pool School or Wiki articles are more frequently updated and more likely to have these items caught.

BTW…..

Here’s a link to the Pool School article you may want to closely watch in the future as this is where many updates to Spa Care will end up likely going 👍
