Somehow I have gone 47 years without rubber boot. Guess I need to rethink that.
The rain has been crazy. Will be at 10 inches soon. Finally letting up some. Pool is draining. Thanks

I cleaned the pool and then jumped in for a brisk swim. The temp is holding at 78 with the solar blanket and we hope to swim a few more times.
20 ounces acid and 6 pounds of calcium. Bringing things back into shape after about 8 inches of rain in the last 48 hours.
Skimmed, brushed, vacuumed and adjusted chemistry.
Dazzlingly good looking water, might need a light wetsuit for any length of time in the sub 70 water.

Wetsuit warehouse has a spectacular array and decently cheap. No expert so there may be other sources even better, but that's where I got mine...goes to ankles and knees

tested chlorine...expecting it to hold for the winter within a few weeks.

Topped it off to avoid vortexing then it rained hard the same amount I put in and had
to drain down to waste...gggrrr!

Well, 4-1/2" rain before my morning coffee.
Overflow is not keeping up so I threw a hose on the pool and started a siphon to help.

Worried that I had something going on in the pool, probably needlessly <G>.
Added salt, muriatic, bleach, and cyanuric to rebalance (again) after the rains.

Added more MA, Ph @ 7.9 now down to 7.4, ran pump for an hour with vacuum, FC @ 5 is ok, TA @ 60 is ok, 58 degree h2o

Yep, it's a done deal here too. Waiting on next summer, and hoping we don't lose power this winter.
