Me too. It's interesting the colors and patterns they are coming out with for Vinyl now. About time they did.

Our pool is pretty much faded/bleached? white below the waterline. It was a gray marble wall and floor, not sure on the tile boarder. I'm hoping taking care of the chemicals myself will get more years out of the new liner.
Our son will be enjoying our 84 degree temp, thanks to our handy little (or big) Heat Pump....
Well YESTERDAY I changed out 200lbs of sand (waaaaay beyond deep cleaning), changed my multiport valve (piece was broken and just as much for new one), and all new pvc. Went to turn it on this morning after fill up, and BAM...pump went out. So I ordered a new one which will be here Friday. A 2 speed one. So I'm pretty excited to have it all come together HOPEFULLY Friday evening. Cover still on to catch all the spring **** flying around. Cheers!
I'm dealing with the pollen too. Brushed vacuumed. Lots of pollen on my skimmer sock too.

I have a nightmare with pine needles. Tested, adjusted and vacuumed them up again. Moved a bleeding hart, clump of siberian iris and some ajuga ground cover into a drab spot to try and make it a bit more appealing to the eye.

If I had a dollar for every pine cone on my property, i'd be a rich man.
This past winter, one day turned on the pump and the motor hummed (impellor stuck) by a clump of pine needles. unbelievable.
it was skimmer socks mandatory after that.
Got home and the pool didn't have a bunch of tree lollipop thingies! Son had scooped the pool! That'll cost me something later. squeezed the sock, almost empty. Then I did some mowing and cut down some trees. It was hot and humid!
So, I made like divin dave and dove into my 79* pool! Whoooweeeee!!!! Wasn't as bad as I feared. Nice to be in the pool for the first time this year!

I lowered the PH a little, and added chlorine. Changed out my pressure gauge with the new one I ordered from TF Test Kits. And lastly I messed around with my Polaris 360.

I don't have a lot of trees near or around my pool but I still get wild pollen drifting through from neighbors' yards. My neighbor has a pine right above our pool and I get needles on windy days.

This is my problem too. Just when you think the pines are finished dropping needles, a new batch starts falling. It hasn't helped that the wind has really been strong this year so far. I mean what are you to do? I don't what to be like my neighbor and cut down every tree then complain about how your pool water gets to 94 in August. We took down 3 pine trees that were going to be very near the pool but left some others because the need for some shade on the pool during the summer months. Guess i'm doomed to pick up pine needles when the wind blows hard as i can't stand a hot pool when i'm hot aready. Everyday is pine needle removal from pool just about,yesterday was no exception.
So, do the Pine Needles float or mostly sink? They must be hard to get off the bottom when they sink. 
Added a little acid and started the robot. Our pollen has finally died down. Only have to clean the skimmer socks every few days now.
My pine needles sink within minutes. So do the pinecones. And they love to leave little tannin stains on my steps. The trees are beautful, but a real PIA pool-wise!

I get very little pine needles on the floor if the pump is running daily. But when I do I have to vacuum them out.
Pine cones here typically float at least 2 days before sinking.
