What did you do to your pool today?

I worked on my Dolphin today a little. Thinking that, after three hard seasons its due for some wear item replacements.

I'll maybe start a post in the cleaner section to document and share. I really think these items will improve things a bit.

Opened pool last week. Water temp originally 69, now up to 75. Getting levels back in ranges. Will be power washing deck this week.

Have to order replacement regents for the TF100.

Full set of chems checked except CYA (cloudy sky) and salt level (reagents expired).
Going to clean the salt cell for the first time and wash all this mud off the deck.

I'm about to go jump in mine! And I'm hoping this guy doesn't head to the pool! That's about a 5' rat snake for those keeping score. He surprised me on the way to the barn this morning.

We are working on getting some chickies, probably a 6 pack of buff orpingtons. That isn't the biggest one around here. We've got one that is BIG! Probably 3" or more in diameter and 7' or 8' long. This one is a young whippersnapper only an inch and half in diameter or so. We'll have to see how that goes.

That's one thing we haven't had to worry about so far with our chickens. Everything else kills them, but we haven't seen any snakes around them.
