Well, we haven’t moved into the new place yet, but I booked someone to open the pool tomorrow.

My TFpro salt kit hasn’t come in yet.

Plus we’re in the middle of packing and moving.

Somebody here once mentioned that taking care of a pool is like taking care of your teeth, and I thought that was a really good analogy.

Do some easy regular daily care like brush and floss and you will very likely not have any issues

Neglect to do so and you will end up with expensive and painful corrections

You've found the right place. Read through Pool School and the Pool Care Basics if you haven't already. You've got the right test kit on the way. So, it sounds to me like you're getting yourself into a nice new home with a pool that will be the source of lots of enjoyment, and easier to maintain than anyone thought possible thanks to TFP!
