We have a large waterfall that has 3 - 3 inch inlets, which feed into 2 pumps in parallel. This then discharges via 2 separate 2.5-inch outlets into the waterfall. There is about 3 feet of rise from the pool to the pump and then another 4 feet of rise above the pumps. We also estimated about 60-80 feet of head total between all 3 lines.

Currently, there are 2 fountain pumps in there which are 3 HP, but I cannot find accurate flow models on them. They also have no check valves in place. I was looking at putting in 2 variable speed pumps (likely 011075) in parallel here with a check valve both before and after each pump (4 total).

Would this be correct? or would it be smarter to get a larger commercial level pump to eliminate these running in parallel?
