Water seeping through pool crete

Just finished pool Crete and there is a leak coming through side wall from ground water. We installed a French drain under the pool in case of ground water but this water is resting on top of the pool Crete. Pool builder wants to patch where leak is and try to keep water out. Should we dig some sort of hole in the bottom to allow the water to get to the French drain or is the pool Crete porous?

A little bit of water is no issue. Most installs deal with water and often we have a pump in deep end running til the last minute before liner goes in with a quick patch of the floor. If you truly have a drain under pool working by gravity there would likely be no water from sides. The PB does this for a living let him make the call on how to proceed and get your liner hung and water in the pool asap
