My normal water level in our in ground pool seems low. Basically and inch or so above the skimmer inlet…. i’ve been having to fill the pool because of evaporation. And if I get a lot of rain or, like the other day, I overfilled ( not overflowing) the pool a little bit. By the next morning, the level dropped 3 inches… right back down to the normal water line.. shouldn’t the normal water level be higher up on the side of the tile.? It just seems that the level sits lower than it should be and I was wondering if or how I can find the overflow and if it’s adjustable.

Should be 50% up the skimmer mouth.

You might try a bucket test to see if you have a leak.

Will have to be a sleuth to find the overflow if it exists. Follow the waterline all around the pool, into and around the inside of the skimmers. If you have one, you'll find it...
