I went to run the polaris today and i noticed a lot of air coming out of my return jets. i figured out that the water level in the skimmer closest to the pump was dropping very low and letting a ton of air in. there was also a strange white cloud of something coming out of the wall connection for the polaris. if I turn the pump off, the water level returns to normal. the skimmer farthest away is barely doing anything (it's always been weaker) any ideas where to start looking? right now only the bottom drain is on. thanks!

Check your water level. It should be about half way between the top and bottom of the skimmer mouth. Make sure the weir door is not stuck in a closed position

It is almost impossible for the pump to suck more water out of the skimmer than can "fall in" from the pool.. Only two things can cause it.. Either your water level is too low or your weir door is stuck up.

Probably just air bubbles.
Possibly clogged.
Aren't they the worst. They think that they're so much better than everyone else. Sheesh.
thanks for the replies guys. I'll check the weir door today. the water level seems normal as I do always aim for mid-skimmer mouth.
Well, I feel stupid for not checking, but I learned something. There was debris keeping the weir door from opening. All is well. Thanks!
