Water is still cloudy after multiple treatments

*assuming you get right on a kit being delivered. If its delayed for any reason, I'd use test strips to prove there was likely chlorine in the pool. The # isnt that important (yet) as said above and i'd try to stay on the darker side of the test strip.

Some folks think about it for a couple weeks or the kit has to clear customs and adding 5ppm a day may stack in a bad way.
Hes in Minnesota so I suspect he will have his kit in a week or less 👍🏻

Retest your pH now and post the result here.
If you added all the pH down that the pool store recommended, chances are the pH is way too low. If so, that needs to be addressed ASAP.

No, you’re simply adding 5ppm worth to the pool to account for daily losses while you wait. Not trying to maintain a specific fc level.

Thats a dab under a gallon- it doesn’t have to be exact, a gallon a day of 10% strength will do!
Put that robot to work !
Thank you! Gallon added and robot putting that work in.

There is now visible algae floating in my pool. Anything else I should be doing? I'm doing 1 gal per day, brushing the sides every day, keeping the robot vacuum running. I haven't backwashed yet, but pressure is fine. Maybe I'll do that today just to clean everything out and top off the pool.

Nope. Add the chlorine each day. Sure backwash.

1000007534.pngwater has gotten much better just with the 1 gal of chlorine over the last few days, robot cleaning, t cell cleaning, and backwashing. May not need to fully slam when I get the test kit tomorrow?

Glad its looking better but do not stop short. You want to be certain so following through all the protocols is the best course. We’re ready for you when you get all your results!

The kit didn't show up today. Hopefully tomorrow!

Do it with 5mL sample for this test for now, each drop is 1FC.
When we get your pool down to normal levels, then use the 10mL sample from there.
Try it with 5mL sample.
Post a full set of results, FC CC pH, TA CH CYA and Salt
