Cleaning filters and noticed water is coming out of the area circled. Something to be concerened about? My pressure is low but I do think Im due for a new pump.

That area seals with an O ring. A small internal leak is not an emergency, many of those filters do that on occasion. Is it leaking to the outside of the tank? We always worry about those leaks. Either way it usually means that something needs to be tightened a small amount.
Low pressure does not mean you need a new pump, it usually means you have a clean filter unless there is a blockage somewhere. The higher the pressure on the filter gauge the less water is actually flowing for the electricity you are using.
Which pump? VSP? Speed? Clogged impeller? Clogged suction plumbing? Valve in the wrong position?
That part is not designed to be watertight.
The O-ring goes on the outside so that the outer part is watertight.
