Every time I go in the pool store a new teenage employee tells me something different. That's why I joined this forum. People here seem to know much more, but I can't seem to get rid of this stain problem and keep my FC level up.

Just a couple comments about the stains: When you added the sequesterant, did you add enough?.....more is better than not enough.
You may want to take a few minutes and look at the "Ascorbic Treatment to rid Pool of metal stains" article by MBAR (Marie) to make sure you haven't missed any steps:

I just added some sequesterant this morning and turned the pump on and the green went away and it's nice and clear now.

Click on the link at top that says "profile" and you will find options to customize your user experience, including a box where you can put information for your signature.
