Wall Whale - brush choices and replacements

So I read some old threads here and have emailed Pebble Tec but no response yet so thought I would post here too. They clearly recommend nylon to start but my pool is older. Has anyone here actually used a hybrid brush (nylon and SS) and found no damage to Pebble Tec?

Secondly, my nylon bristles from my Wall Whale are shot. I don't really need an entirely new unit. Anyone have good recommendations for the brush replacement only that I would screw the whale tail onto. The mfg of Wall Whale sells Wall Whale kits so they clearly anticipate the tail will be put on other brushes. Was looking at this Milliard if a hybrid is ok.

I was not impressed with the wall whale and don't use it anymore. I use the below and love it. It's especially good around the stairs.

Thanks. I am going to try this brush and add the whale tail to it. If it’s not good I’ll try the one you linked.

I use a full wire brush on my PebbleTech with no issues.
