Hi all! Hope everyone in the northern climates had a great swimming season! We did; our 2nd year of TFP methodology & LC!

Closing our vinyl-liner IG pool today. I slammed it 3 days ago, but wondering whether ideal LC on day of closing should be higher than normal range (for my pool, that would be 4-6 ppm) Our pool is at 4 ppm.
Was thinking of closing at shock level (11 ppm according to PM) but concerned about liner fading once covered & with cooler water temp (presently 68º & heading south daily)
Tks!
p.s. I read closing pool article but nothing mentioned about liner-fading. (ours has faded significantly since keeping LC levels higher than before TFP) My husband refuses to wait another month to close it as we can't keep up with falling leaves that clog skimmer basket several times/day currently; last year it was a nightmare waiting longer to close. Just wondering how high LC can be without liner fade.

Tks Pool_Medic! We've never used PolyQuat at closing & pool is always sparkly clear at opening. Last year was first time we closed it very late, but can't do that this year, so I guess we should get some PolyQuat due to early closing! Tks again!
