What do you all suggest to fix this from time to time. I have just been scrubbing with a brush, but should i treat with a chemcial as well to do a better job.
thanks

Algae in a pool should use the process SLAM Process.
Those areas are most likely 'dead' zones and need to be brushed often. Also maintaining your FC a bit higher on the scale shown in [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA] may be useful. With a SWCG, I would suggest maintaining your FC at 10% of CYA after you complete the SLAM
As stated above, the SLAM process will eradicate the algae so hopefully it doesn't come back again. Ever.
But there's got to be a reason it has been coming back. Are you maintaining high enough [FC/CYA]chlorine levels[/FC/CYA]? Maybe you need more CYA to prevent sunlight burnoff? Do you have poor circulation? Insufficient brushing? Some test results would help us diagnose things.
