Vegas OB! Just got plans back and need some feedback (pics included :) )

Will that bench just gets better and better! Will you use a free standing fire pit (there are some very pretty ones out there) or a plumbed, fixed place one? I like the idea of the free standing so you can move it.

That front patio NEEDS to come out like that! It really enhances the whole front of the house! NICE! Those stairs will be the finishing touch for sure.

Will!!! DUDE that is one of my fav lights!!! Those plants and stone work are awesome!!! That grass is purrfect! You will need to teach the kids how to "rake" it to keep it fluffy!

That has to be hard to not be there while they are doing all of this work. I am sure your wife is able to keep them on their toes though!!!

Well There is a 2 fold problem with my wife right now.
1. She doesn’t really care about outside until it’s done and something is wrong or doesn’t look right. She just says to do whatever and she will like it. But as soon as it’s done she has a whole list of critiques and changes that should have been done during project. It makes me want to jump off a bridge cause I constantly ask her for her input while doing the house and magically she’s quiet and has nothing to say.
2. She’s a teacher which is great because they are on spring break but on the first day she got jury duty so she’s not home while they are working :/
But I have awesome neighbors so they are all pitching in with my project lol. Just have to make sure no one person gets to crazy with ideas and they all stick to the llan

Oh my!!! Talk about the worst timing ever for jury duty!

Lol on her not caring until it is done......but no input before=no negative words after in my world!! That is a rule that works for both of us. 33 yrs of marriage it has stood the test of time!

Nice neighbors.....hummmm how do I get their phone number to add a :kim: touch...hehe

So a few quick pic updates for the Easter weekend.... the guys have been off the past few days and will be off until Monday so I’ll be able to post more pics Tuesday which is good for me since I’ll be back in town that day.
FYI the front yard is still going to have a retaining wall around the front porch so it’s not all the way done yet

Will that last pic of the bench really shows how pretty that stone is! The colors are so rich looking! Does it look as good in person as it does in the pics?

Loving the front yard!!! When you say "retaining wall" what do you mean? and why?

I haven’t seen it in person yet since I’m out of town but I have seen the stone and it’s really nice. Matter fact we were at a high end shopping center and they had the same stone and it looked fantastic.
On the front porch we are going to close on the patio with a mini wall to finish off the front end patio . So it will add another level to the retaining walls that are up now

Will, I realized after I clicked on post "Silly Kim! He is out of town! DOH!" sorry about that.

That wall will add another touch to the overall picture! I really like the layered look you have going on!

So neat you got to see YOUR stone in action and loved it!!

So the fellas were back to work today and they pretty much wrapped up the side yard and they were working on the top of the bench as well as the fire pit by the bench. They also started the planter we added at the last minute since I’m not doing my pizza oven or fireplace on the side :(. I have to admit I always wanted a combo oven/ fireplace but my wife made me feel bad about it and said it would just be a ornament which I agree and a expensive one but I still wanted it lol. So I’ll just settle for my fire pit and and planter and maybe next year redo the side when she’s not looking hahaha.
So here go a few more pictures and I think they will be done in the next few days . Also all my neighbors had words for me and told me I’m making their front yards look like death and we all had a good laugh , I’m too afraid to tell them it’s not done yet and there is going to be even more added lol
