Trying to get thru a pool remodel and resurface. I only have a Polaris vacuum but need one that plugs into the skimmer for the new plaster.

Recommendations on models or anything specific I should look for?

Thank you, will post pics if it's ever actually done done;)

You show to currently have a pressure side cleaner using a booster pump. You want to stop using that? You do not have a dedicated suction line for a suction line cleaner but want to connect it to your skimmer line. Do I understand that correctly? Is this a temporary set up or will you connect and disconnect the cleaner? The Kreepy Krauly and Baracuda are popular models. Other models have wheels.
There is also a robot cleaner that would allow you to continue to use the skimmer as is.

You shouldn’t use any cleaner on new plaster for 30 days.

I was reading the traditional start up for new plaster and it said to vacuum daily. I do have a side pressure robot and he'll go back in eventually.

It turns out I think my guy is doing an acid startup so maybe I don't need the vacuum after all. But I just read that acid should be used not on regular plaster....so I have to talk with him about that.

After a replaster (or any plaster job), it is best to brush the sides and bottom to allow the filter to pick up the plaster dust. Using a vacuum may not be effective plus you do not want to create any marks on your new plaster. Brush several times a day if possible and let the filter pick up the particles. You have a sand filter so you may need to backwash after several days - just monitor your filter pressure. It may only take a couple of weeks. Good maintenance early on ensures your plaster has the potential for a long life.
