I have an intex 16'x32' with a sand filter pump 2800 GPH SKU 26647EG. The pump is too strong for typical intex vacuums using 1.25" hoses. When I vacuum to waste, the hose collapses. I want to upgrade to a 1.5" heavy duty hose, but I'm not sure what's a good way to actually connect a 1.5" vacuum hose to the rest of the system.
My existing vacuum came with an adapter that screws over the inlet and provides a barb to put a 1.25" hose over it. It has a thin rubber ring to help with a seal.
There are sooooo many adapters out there and I'm not sure what's going to work.
Is this combo viable? Is there anything better?
