I currently have a RS-PS4 and am looking to upgrading to a PS6 or PS8 so I can get some additional relays for some automations I may want to do in the future. The PS4 is basically brand-new and under scoped from the PB so looking to see what would be involved to swap this out to a PS6 or 8. I was looking to buy one off eBay but not sure exactly what I need. Do I just need the PS8 control board or do I need the CPU board also? Also which revision should I be looking for? I do have iaqualink 3.0 also.

If you have a RS-PS4 box, it may not be able to add the relays to use. Show us a picture of the inside with the face plate off.
If you do have room to add 2 or more HP relays, then you need the new PCB.
Take a picture ot the current PCB so we can see the chip. It will have the current rev on it.
See this link that provides the latest info on revisions.

Hi @HermanTX , just wanted to follow up and see if you had a second to review my pictures above.

Thank you!

My apologies. I missed this update somehow. Thanks for the reminder.
Good News. You have revision Y on the PCB which indicates the latest revision that we are aware of. Jandy not very good at communicating when revisions are issued and what enhancements are included.
Also, there is space to add 3 HP Relays. Each set of 2 screws on the right side can handle 1 relay.

Bad News. The chip states RS4 P&S - this implies only the 4 relays (in addition to Filter Pump relay) are active.
I would purchase a Relay and plug it into one of the open sockets (one of the 3 that are open on the left side) and see if it activates.
Therefore this may require purchasing a new PCB that states RS8 P&S. That is what mine states and I using 6 of the active HP relays.

Maybe @generessler or @PoolGate or @MSchutzer has additional thoughts.

Sorry I have no experience other than my own system. The chip is labeled RS8. All 8 slots work fine as you'd expect. I agree that trying a relay out in the other slots is a good way to go.

I'm sure you've already run across this thread.

Yup already reviewed it....thank you for all the suggestions. I will work on testing another spot this weekend when I get back home. Just a question though, it's just the PCB and not the entire controller board that would need to be upgraded?

Thanks
