Unknown Filter... Can you identify?

I just checked and cleaned my SWG cell for the first time since the pool was built. When I removed the SWG, and this "thing" was sticking in the end of the cell (not where the blades are but on the grid side). Anyone know what this might be? Whatever it is, the filter screen thing is broken in anyways.

That is part of your filter. If you remove the top you will see a small hose coming up the center, it goes there. That one is damaged, you will need a new one.
