Underway on large pool project... w/ pics

I think our aesthetic will be protected perhaps more than others given the angle we are placing it at, plus the curvature of the bar/wall. All should give the eyes a more pleasing curve. But you are right, it will take away some of that appeal
Not sure on your coping options on the fiberglass However I would consider either paver coping or perhaps a colored concrete coping to help pop the contours. It might be a bit safer as well to depict the edge of pool.

I like the top one the best! It was funny to watch your kids climb and hang on the fence LOL They did a good job up front with the bottom. I noticed there was on only a little rework after the pool was set. That open property behind you sure came in handy!!! Who owns that?

So yeah.. ive put a lot of thought in to that... 1. Pavers dont work in our climate.. they would pop and heave... so thats out. 2. Colored concrete is an option for sure, but all my friends who have stamped or colored concrete hate it. They like the look but hate the upkeep on it.

I cant really do a colored border around the pool either because there wont be a border more than 2 " wide in some spots because im putting the square (first pour with track) as close as I possibly can to the pool to not only minimize it, but because I dont have a ton of sq ft to work with (city code) . .
It would be ( i think) an option later, to color the concrete of just the lower deck. I think ive seen that done.. you can spray with acid etc? If thats the case, its an option..
I love the ideas, and I love the advice...

kimkats... its owned by a local developer. We (a few of us families) are trying to buy it... its 2.8 acres that starts wide by me, and tapers heading north. .

Hes willing to listen, but hes asking too much for it right now... We are lucky in that there is 80 acres behind it that until its sold it wont be developed... So we want to buy this small piece to keep it green. Nice thing is the 80 back behind the trees, the owner is older, and doesnt need money.. Until he dies, it wont be sold... Hope he lives forever :)

Sod... A little hard to maintain, but I love the look, so Ill do the work... Plus there will likely be many more steppers like this in the back yard, from other gates as well. Maintaining this will be fun, and arduous.

So my cabinet sub finished his work today...
This is inside the old bedroom, now pool house... He nailed it... couldn’t be better IMO for what we wanted.
Got 7” of rain last night and this morning, so concrete could not be poured around the pool.. hopefully Monday...
