Doesn't the new MasterTemps support RS485? If so, why would you want to connect the heater to the fireman switch instead of the 485 port?

While we are on this topic, is there a way to calibrate the spa temp? I see only pool and air in the setup. Thanks.

You see AIR and WATER in the setup.

WATER reads pool temp when in POOL mode and spa temp when in SPA mode. The calibration applies to both as the temp information comes from the same temperature sensor point in your plumbing.

Some new ones have them and some don't. Depends when the one you get was built.
