Two steps forward, four steps back

Finally got the pool up but the spray handle was stuck on the hose so I put oil on it which didn’t help but got oil all over the patio slab . So I cut the handle off and by the time the ladder was built the water was four inches high. Spent the rest of the day siphoning water out with cups because there was not enough pressure to push out through the hose.

Any way, I’m confused about the legs. I know they need to be straight and level, but how far away from the liner? Right now there’s a few inch gap and not sure if they’re placed correctly. Will the pool fill and push out the legs? I don’t see on the instructions where to place the legs and once it’s filled, I don’t want to have to drain again

I am burying four inch deep pavers under the legs as well. At what point do I dig under the legs to place the pavers?

Any help or encouragement would be deeply appreciated.

One more thing, has anyone found a way to use a ramp or wide stairs for their large dogs? I have no deck but want to rig something for Fido to get in and out.

Spent over two months digging out the land theand putting up a retaining wall (built it three times before we got it right). We’ve had over two weeks of 90 degree weather and no pool. I’m discouraged. Feels like I’m starting over again, there are a couple of uneven spots when I put the level horizontally on the top of the frame. The water level looked even though from inside.

You must drain the water to add the pavers if you have started filling. When you do this be sure to bury them so their tops are flush with the ground the pool bottom is sitting on.
All the legs should be level each way (all around) - you just have to keep adjusting them as the pool fills.

On mine I used two layers of some substantial vinyl flooring plank under each foot. Maybe 12" cuts. It worked really well - I could fill the pool about 1/4 full, straighten the legs into place, lift them and slip the vinyl underneath. You could use ground rated plywood or anything else thin. I went as far as buying and hauling 18 pavers home before I realized I would have to dig and level every single one, and get the legs to line up on all of them...

I hauled 18 of these. I don’t mind leveling them. I plan to keep the pool up permanently if all goes well.

Thing is, these pools don't last forever... the liner rips, the poles rust. I would be happy to get 3 years out of it in my environment. 5 years would be optimistic. In 3 years will I still want the same pool? Maybe I would go bigger, rectangular, hard sided? Even if I wanted the exact same shape/dimension, would that model still even be available? I don't know... too much work for me personally

I'm trying my hardest to do everything perfectly. A lot of work, it's frustratind and draining. Not to mention swollen hands and aching back! I know some folks who've had their pools up for 8 plus years. One can only hope....

I hear you. I spent a week removing sod and sand with a hoe and shovel and hauling it off by the wheelbarrow. Once you're floating the stress away all that agony will be a distant memory. I'm sure it'll be awesome
