Help Please
I've been treating my water with muriatic acid over the last 6 days but with each dose of muriatic acid, my level will not fall below 144 (adjusted) PPM. In fact, after 1 dosing the level rose. Is there something else in my test results that are preventing me from hitting the target?
Thanks,
Mike - 13500K above ground w/vinyl liner

Ha! It is a process...you are doing fine.

Two tricks. CO2 outgasses at the highest rate between 7.0 and 7.4. Lower pH in .4 increments until it gets to 7.0. Don't do it in one fell swoop addition. When it gets to 7.4, lower again to 7.0. When you get to 80 TA don't force pH down below 7.8 or so.

Second, you want LOTS of VERY TINY bubbles. I can reduce my TA by 10 in 12 hours with this below. I mounted it on a sump pump.
