In ground pool with one light in the pool (Pentair Amerilite) and one in the spa (Pentair Spabrite). I'm troubleshooting some issues where the lights switch off and trip the GFCI when either one is turned on. Fresh bulbs and seals in both, both are dry after a week but the circuit tripping thing is still happening.
Opened this junction box today, which was 1/4 full with white gunk - can't tell what it is but some kind of insect stuff? Not sure. Water that came up and salt that dried?
Some of the wires look a little frayed, thinking I should replace the junction box and make sure no wires are exposed, etc.
Does anyone have a reference for how this wiring is typically done?
