Hi everyone,

Been maintaining a TFP all summer, but I'm at a bit of a loss.

My FC falls to 0.5 every day, so I drop a gal in every night, the pool stays clear which is great. I'm not complaining and it's still cheaper than "other" methods.

I'm just wondering what it would take to slow down FC consumption, or if I need to just look into a SWG to help offload some of the "work" involved. Not that it's hard, just annoying to constantly be dropping a gal in the pool every evening.

Ph 7.6
CYA 50

All others are within normal limits just don't have them off the top of my head.

pool is a 27ft above ground pool with 54" walls. Full sun all day, water temps in the 90s... if this is "normal" that's fine just verifying more than anything and thinking about exploring options to offload daily tasks.

Welcome to TFP!!!

It is dropping to .5 from what FC value?

If it has been multiple days this low, you likely have algae, even if you can't see it. Do this test-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

If you fail, follow the slam process to clear the pool...Link-->SLAM Process

Once clear, SWCG would be a good option for you...

9pm fc is @ 7

Have a feeling ill be slamming we recently had 2 weeks of crazy rain, and had a mild barely cloudy algae bloom that I thought was quickly handled. But I have a feeling it's not as under control as I thought. Will report back in the morning.

If you have algae, it is not "handled," until you SLAM and pass all three criteria.
