Tristar SP3207X10XE pump was making high pitch sound for 4-5 days ago and seemed to stuck in priming mode. Switching to next speed helped manually for 4-5 days. Over this weekend, it stopped working completely. When I turn on, makes clicking sound (1-2 clicks) and does not turn on. I took apart the pump back section and the 4 capacitors seem to look normal (no burns or oozes). I have not measured voltages. Took the pump apart from housing. Impeller is stuck and not spinning.
I want to take apart the impeller to inspect but not sure how. There is a impeller screw on the front but in the back I do not see any kind of screw or shaft to insert screw driver or spanner/wrench to hold motor shaft to turn the impeller screw on the front.
Should I just turn the impeller screw clockwise or should I try to take apart the back of the pump circuit board to access the motor shaft ?
If the motor is dead, what are the suggestions for a replacement motor for this model ?
