I'm glad I'm not the only one who was a little confused about the instructions. I couldn't see a gasket or anything that could be removed, or where the black plastic grid would snap in, so I just put the new basket in. Seems fine? I'm assuming the instructions were in case you have an older variant or different model that requires those two, but it would've been nice if they explicitly said that somewhere.
