Dolphin Encore

I jumped on a deal for a practically brand new Dolphin Encore from Facebook Marketplace. Without really doing much research - and knowing this came from a home with an inground pool - I didn't realize that it was designed to be an above ground pool cleaner.

I have a salt water fiberglass in-ground kidney bean shaped pool with steps, max 6' deep. So far, it's done a pretty good job climbing the walls and I've been satisfied with the 12 hours I've had it.

Anything I should be aware of, or can I be pretty confident in this purchase?

EDIT: Their promo YouTube video shows it in an inground pool, but their website says it's for above ground. Too many models, I guess, for them to keep track of.

Just keep an eye on its performance, especially with the deeper sections and steps. Sometimes, above-ground models can struggle in those areas. If it keeps working well, you're probably fine! Have you noticed any issues with the steps or deep areas yet?

It hasn't seemed to struggle at all. I don't have expectations for steps as even many good inground models don't do steps well. Since I have a skimmer and no deep point drain, it glides just fine. Again, my deepest is only 6', so that's gentler than 8' that many concrete in-grounds are.

So far, pretty happy with it. Still find it odd that they have a video of it in an inground pool but consider it above ground on their website.
