22k Gal in ground Gunnite pool.
TA - 90
PH - 7.5
FC - 5

2nd summer with pool and just dialing it in and starting to swim.

App is telling me I need to raise Ph as well as lower TA.

PH was 7.8 for a week and I kept slowly adding in muratic acid a couple times a week to try and get it down.

Just want to verify. I believe I need to add muratic acid and lower ph to 7.0-7.2 then aerate to increase Ph only. Assuming my water falls will help with this. Never had TA go out of balance last summer.

How are you testing your water.
You really need your own test kit. Link-->Test Kits Compared

IF those numbers are correct, though I don't believe them if they are from the pool store...
Your TA and pH are just fine. With a TA of 100, your pH will rise. Do not lower pH until it gets above 8.
Just manage your pH, keep it between 7 and 8 and TA will come down over time.

Get the kit and repost results when you get them, we'll go from there...

PoolMath is a calculator and nothing more. If given a target, PM will tell you how to achieve it. Don't blindly follow its output.

Any pH in the 7s is fine, and a pH ~7.8 is great and very common. No need to add MA in an attempt to get a "perfect" pH.

You don't need a dedicated effort to lower TA. Just manage pH with MA and the TA will slowly come down. TA of 50 or above is perfectly fine.

Most importantly, what specific test kit are you using?

I have the TF Pro test kit. These are my numbers. The pool math app just keeps stating that scaling is likely and recommending the above.

Thanks that’s good advice. I’ve always just followed with the TFP APP has suggested.

I'm curious...where does it tell you this? Can you take a screen shot?
In pool math, go to the gear in upper right. Enable "Track CSI" and "Track Temp" Also enable lit from TFP user profile so we can see your logs. (click my name and you can see mine). This will help us help you.
