There is a whole 'nuther thread on that. I started at 1000 ppm and after adding 400 lbs of salt, it is 3200 ppm.Good luck. Take pictures so we can see how it goes
And remember to test your salt level before you add any salt to the pool. Unless your pool (or the water in it) is new then there is likely already a significant amount of salt in the water from the chemicals that we use in the pool. If you just assume the pool has 0 salt then you will likely add too much salt and need to drain water to lower the level.
I'm testing out the salt cell at 50% right now. I will do a run test tonight on the hot tub to "calibrate" the % to a FC/1000 gallons per hour. The hot tub was very easy to calculate the gallons of water. I have a "good idea" of the pool, but it is not as simple as the hot tub.Salts in and where you want it? FC is at the desired level?
