I've been using the resources of TFP for a while now and yet this is my first post...

We decided it was time for an upgrade to our pool area and selected Blue Water Pools in S Daytona to do the following:

-New decking (Shell lock artistic pavers) over the old cracked poured concrete deck.
-Refinish the pool with Sun Stone Pearl in St Lucia Blue
-Add 2 X Color Logic 320 LED Lights
-New VST pump
-Added 125000 BTU Heat Pump
-New Cartridge Filter
-Screened in the expanded pool area using 20/20 mesh (Beachside gnats be gone!)

Here's what 22 days of work looks like in 4 minutes...

The water appears more green that it was due to the metals etc in our city water. It's now clear and blue. Can't say enough good things about the whale tail brush, I used the heck out out that thing making sure the finish came out perfectly, which it did! We are very happy!

CMS,

Welcome to TFP... a great place to find the answers to all your pool upgrade questions, no matter what your Inlet is called... :shark:

That was a great video... I've seen plenty of pool videos, but this is the first one showing the construction of a screen room... Pretty cool how it was done.

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.

LOVE the time lapse. Can you give us an overview of how you did it? Type of camera, tripod, software, how long to edit, etc.

Our pool is in permitting right now and I would love to do something similar if it's easy / low cost.

Manny,

I used a Garmin Virb camera for this time lapse. By putting a suction cup mount on the inside of one of the doors that looks out into the pool deck we got the best view that nobody could mess with from the outside. I used a 1 frame per 30s setting which seemed to be pretty good. The Virb edit software allows you to change the speed once it's recorded, so we had 2 minute videos at the end of each day and then I accelerated that by 800% for the edit you saw. It gave us pretty good visibility of what was happening when we were away as well which was an added bonus. I think all the action cams will do this, so if you don't have a go-pro/virb type camera I'm sure you know someone who does.

Post your time lapse when you have it!
