Tiling the whole spa- am I asking for a unicorn?

Hello,

Seeing my spa has a leak behind the spa walls (from the TX freeze), I thought this would be a good time to renovate the whole thing. I want to tile the whole spa, but the builder is making me feel like I'm asking for something that's impossible to do.

He wants to to do plaster or use pebbletec/sheen. I don't want those. I don't want to touch the the main pool plaster yet as it was only redone in quartz in 2015.

Here are the things I want done:
Tile the whole spa (inspiration pic below)
Pool Equipment upgrade (although the VS pump and DE filter was just installed last year), but I need heater and perhaps new control so I can access from my phone
New pool /spa lights

I realize this is a small project, please recommend a builder if you know a company that can tackle this. Most of them just wants to plaster and go. :(

I think your builder knows it is difficult finding craftsmen who can do a quality job of tiling the complete spa.

Find a good craftsman who takes pride in their work, pay them well for all the time it will take, and have them use quality materials and you will have a great looking spa.

Lots of good information on tiling installation at...
