Three Jets and a Skimmer

I know my thread title sounds like a 1987 movie starring Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, and Ted Danson. However, as a total pool newbie, I need some advice on pointing my return jets.

It's fiberglass, 35x15, and heated. We are in Texas, so if you would change the eyeball return jets depending on the season, I am also looking for that advice as well.

My first thought and action was to point them all at the skimmer just below the surface, causing barely a ripple. My idea is that would create a clockwise motion.

What are your thoughts?

Not going to make a material difference but have fun experimenting.

Just point them down so they do not ripple the water.

That is what I would do, but what other choice do you have, since all three returns are on the same side of the pool???

Why would they do that??

Yeah bad return placement. One in splash pad one opposite of the skimmer and one opposite of the splash pad would be ideal.
