Thread number 10000 on CYA and in-line chlorinator

Was hoping to get cya to 40 ish. But I’ll take it for sure. It’s also early. After more filtration and combining of new water with old, I think it may change.
What’s next step? SLAM? And add calcium? In what order?

SLAM can start now. CH you can work on later. Want to be sure your water is well mixed before adding calcium. Do not go over board on the calcium. 250 ppm max.

Yea, lesson learned lol. Quick question. I shocked to the SLAM level. It says to test and adjust frequently. So say I test and it’s at X amount. Do I adjust (add) by adding to the original SLAM level? Or to the ideal level? Seems if I adjust to original SLAM level, it’s a never ending cycle.....

Test your FC and add enough LC to get back to SLAM level FC - 24 ppm.
Do it at least 3-4 times per day. When your water is crystal clear, do the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

the "M" in SLAM is Maintain. while SLAMing....

My water is crystal clear. It was never cloudy, even after the exchange. No algae. So I’m clear to do the overnight chlorine loss test?
